I am sure if you are reading this blog then you are aware of a very well known "Camming/Streaming" site. The site takes 30% of "credits" earnt as well as recently increasing their "pricing plan" for models to advertise services or promote themselves. The paying clients are also being squeezed by the site.

I do not want to moan about the site nor do I wish to sing it's praises; I am merely making the point that it is VERY popular, especially for models new to the industry.

I was told about this site long before I became a Disciplinarian/Dominatrix. I remember having a look and at first glance thought it was just a glorified porn site. The first thing I saw were photo's of skinny sexy looking women and a few men, wearing nothing, maybe a G-string or very little. Photo's clearly taken as a still from porn style video's, and thought NOPE! not for me thank you kindly.

Fast forward 18 years and I found my self on this very site!. I had joined an "agency" or so I thought at the time. (Previous blog will tell you it was NOT an agency!). I had seen a few posts from a lady claiming she owned and worked for an agency working on this particular camming site. She was my age and she was not skinny or particularly sexy (in my opinion), but she said she was earning very good money and made it seem so easy!. I admit at first I thought "Well if she can make money, so can I", so after a few months I sent her a message asking for more information.

I wanted to understand how the site worked, What the "Agency" would do for me? How often I would be paid? How much would I be paid? *What kind of things would I need to start ? *Would I have to be naked? *What were the working hours?, etc. Training was offered in the form of 1-1 webcam chats. (Great if your technical! Frustrating if you're like me and can only just manage to write blogs!). Payments were a slight issue, as I was told not only did I have to lose 30% straight from any credits (x1 credit = £1.00 GPB), earnt, by the site themselves for "Administration costs"; I also had to pay the "agency" a further 20% for their "admin costs"!!

I was stupid and realised eventually that this was not for me, however I still had lessons to learn.

All I needed to become a "Webcam Model" was my government issued ID, a mobile or lap top that was connected to the internet, (Ideally with a fast connection), provide payment details (for my very hard earnt 50%) and a username. That was it, nothing more. In my opinion If your going to become a webcam model, you need a laptop with a separate camera, ring light and know your worth. Do not get drawn into feeling like you have to "fit in"! Be your true authentic self, or why not invent a whole new you just for camming? You do what makes you feel comfortable, not what you are asked or told to do. Show your face and body or don't. Play with toys and or food or don't. Be you or invent a new you. Do research and stay safe.

I discovered that each individual had their own kinks/fetish and even though some had a common fetish such as "Feet", they all had their own idea's, thought's and feelings for that particular kink/fetish. No one fetish fits all. Everyday is a learning day and I found a mantra that seemed to fit me "Do not be afraid to be different..... Be afraid to be the same as the others." and I am embracing it fully. No kink shaming from me, if your kink/fetish is not for me that's OK, there will be a Mistress for you somewhere. I might not be the Mistress for you, as I am becoming more Sadistic, and loving it!!.

As for the content I would put onto this site, well at first I didn't know I could "Sell" content, so I just went "live" on camera. I was terrified and fully clothed, but I did make an effort to look like I was in authority and sexy with it. I had a few photos and uploaded them onto my "free gallery", and i was streaming in "Free mode". Now it has changed but I was allowed to ask for "tips" during my live streams and I did very well at the time. I also had a lot of people in/out like bloody swinging doors had been installed, or even worse they would chat for the "free" selected time, then bugger off, rather than pay to stay. Very frustrating!!

The more I used the site, the more I found my way around it and now I know that I can ( & I do), upload photo's & videos onto my "Private gallery", meaning individual's can purchase them for a selected amount of time. I also know that the site allows models to advertise as "Escorts", Now I am NOT an escort but they do not allow for Dominatrix bookings. You do not need to join an agency to join the site or use it. Saying that I left my previous agency and joined another one purely due to the small benefits they offer and I do not use the "camming" service unless it is booked in advance. Enjoying my blogs?
